Where do I find our enrolment link?

In the Wardlark portal, go to People (or choose Get your enrolment link on the overview). Your links are under Enrolment links. If there isn't one yet, choose Create a team link. Then choose Copy link and send it to your team by email or Slack. One link works for every platform: each person opens it on the device they want to enrol.

Can I give someone their own link, or one that runs out?

Yes. Choose New link. In New enrolment link, pick someone under Just for one person and their devices are assigned to them automatically. Stop after and Expires on limit how long it works. Then choose Create link.

Or choose Add person and leave Email them their own enrolment link ticked: we'll email them a link of their own. To stop a link working, choose Switch off next to it. Devices already enrolled with it aren't affected.

Can I see what Wardlark can see on a device?

Yes. Wardlark reads device settings, like the OS version, encryption and passcode status. It can't see personal files, messages, photos or browsing history.

A device is lost. What do I do?

Go to Devices and open the device. Choose Lock first: you can add a message and a phone number for whoever finds it. On a Mac, we show you a 6-digit PIN once, straight after you lock it. Write it down before you choose I've saved the PIN: it's the only way to unlock the Mac. Windows PCs also have Lock and block sign-in, which stops anyone signing in until you unlock it.

If it won't be coming back, choose Wipe. It erases everything and can't be undone, so we ask you to type the device name first, and may ask you to confirm it's you. Need the disk encryption key instead? Show recovery key is on the same page, and each time it's shown it's recorded in the audit log.

Someone removed the profile. What now?

We'll have emailed you already, unless you've turned off A device stops being managed in Settings. The device shows as Not managed. Ask the person to open the enrolment link again; it takes a couple of minutes.

Retiring a device on purpose? Choose Stop managing on its page. Wardlark removes its settings without erasing anything.

Still stuck?
